01 Target spectrum and compatibility
Records are selected and scaled to match the design target spectrum within a defined period range; the key principle is that the mean spectrum should not fall below the target.
02 Selection and scaling
The record pool is narrowed by considering fault mechanism, magnitude, and distance criteria; the set is then brought into alignment with the target through amplitude scaling.
